mountain guide

Some of the best-known and best mountain guides in South Tyrol are at home in the Tauferer Ahrntal. With them, high-alpine tours to the three-thousand-meter peaks, climbing on the Three Peaks, ski tours or ice climbing become safe activities. We have linked our recommendations for you here.

Hans Kammerlander – one of the world's best alpinists, has climbed 12 of the 14 eight-thousanders, completed more than 2,000 climbing tours, 60 first ascents of grade six and 50 solo ascents of difficult Alpine walls.

Konrad Auer – accompanied Hans Kammerlander on several expeditions, including to K2 and Kangchenjunga, the two highest eight-thousanders after Everest. A specialist in rock climbing, ice climbing and, of course, ski touring.

Kurt Astner – one of the most extreme rock climbers in the world, some spectacular first ascents on the walls of the Three Peaks and one of the best ice climbers. A great ski touring guide.

Simon Gietl – one of the country's "young wild ones". He has attracted a great deal of international attention in the climbing scene in recent years with spectacular first ascents in the Dolomites and also in Greenland. And he loves winter.

Günther Ausserhofer – he is the man who built the via ferratas on the Speikboden. He works as a guide between the Dolomites and the Western Alps, between skiing and sun climbing, from easy to difficult. He can do it. And he can also do snow and ice.
