By bike
For anyone who wants to go cycling on holiday, South Tyrol and in particular the Pustertal Valley with all its side valleys have an incredible variety of options to offer. From leisurely family bike tours to routes for the more ambitious bikers and e-bikers to challenging trails for real experts - there is simply nothing that doesn't exist. For example, it is possible to ride up to the Kronplatz or deep into the Tauferer Ahrntal. Or you can bike the famous Sella Ronda, which has established its reputation as a unique ski circuit around the legendary Sella massif, with lift support and as a day tour. There are also bike races for everyone every year, such as the legendary Dolomiti Superbike event. There are practically no limits on two wheels. Many alpine pastures and huts are now equipped so that e-bikers can recharge their batteries.

Many tours lead to the destination
Bruneck is a good starting point for a variety of bike tours. You can follow the Pustertal cycle path to Franzensfeste. Or cycle in the other direction from Bruneck to Innichen.
A well-developed and family-friendly cycle path also leads into the Tauferer Ahrntal valley to Sand in Taufers and even further towards the glacier mountains.
The Drava cycle path is, of course, wonderful. The best way to get there is to take the train with your bike to Innichen and then follow the Drava to Lienz in East Tyrol. If you can't make it back, you can easily take the train to Bruneck.
The following tour to the Plätzwiese is also exciting. From Bruneck or from Niederdorf (take the train there) to Innichen, then through the wonderful Höllensteintal, past the Drei Zinnen and the Landrosee to Schluderbach. From there up to the famous Plätzwiese under the Hohe Gaisl and the Dürrenstein. And then via the Gasthof Brückele and Prags back to Niederdorf or even through the Pustertal and past the Olanger reservoir back to Bruneck. Spann3
